The Band, Celebrating Their 50th Anniversary, Concludes 21-Date European Tour in Dublin

AC/DC has officially confirmed that they will be performing a concert at Croke Park on August 17th. This marks the culmination of their 21-date European tour, which will conclude in Dublin.

The tour, named the Power Up European tour, takes its name from the band's most recent studio album, released in November 2020. While only lead guitarist Angus Young remains from the original lineup, fans will be thrilled to know that singer Brian Johnson is back after undergoing surgery to address hearing loss. Johnson had been temporarily replaced by Guns N' Roses singer Axl Rose during the 2016 Rock or Bust tour.

AC/DC's last performance in Ireland was in 2015 with a sold-out show at the Aviva Stadium. After the passing of Malcolm Young, many doubted they would tour again. However, they surprised fans by appearing at the Power Trip festival in California on October 7th of last year.

It's worth noting that AC/DC holds the record for the highest-selling rock album of all time with their 1980 release, Back in Black. Their popularity has endured well into the digital age, with the official Back in Black video amassing over a billion views on YouTube.

Tickets for the concert will go on sale this Friday at 9am through Ticketmaster, starting at €86.50 plus booking fees.
